About Kim
Kim is passionate about digital learning and helping educators create actively engaging learning environments, so that students can take ownership of their own learning.
Kim finds excitement in school reform, along with the power of digital learning to support teaching and personalizing a path to student ownership. She has over 20 years in the digital learning landscape, from supporting large-scale high school reform, virtual school teaching and administration, through competency-based learning and hybrid school design. As the former Director of Online and Blended Learning in Nevada’s Clark County, she has worked with numerous schools to adopt a partnership with digital content, tools, and systems. She has shared her expertise across the nation at numerous national conferences, such as her annual presence at Digital Learning Annual Conference (DLAC) hosted by the Digital Learning Collaborative, where Kim serves on the executive committee.
When she is not consulting, you can find her traveling, hiking and enjoying women’s sports. A quote from world famous soccer player Pelé sums up Kim’s contagious spirit: “Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do.”
