ALP’s Community of Practice (COP) for district administrators and school leaders facilitates monthly virtual sessions featuring subject matter experts, time for questions, and space to collaborate and share the work of the learning community.

AI Community of Practice Goals
In close partnership with leaders from over 100 U.S. and Canadian districts, ALP facilitates an innovative networking teams model to realize the following outcomes:
- Access to AI subject matter expertise. School and division leaders engage in high-interest, timely topics with subject matter experts to inform a systems approach to AI.
- Exploration of transformational applications of AI. The community will explore how AI can be leveraged in areas such as operations, curriculum, personalized learning, and teacher engagement/retention.
- Cultivation of a Network of Practitioners. Participants engage in a CoP that utilizes shared resources, expertise, and learning to navigate challenges and opportunities relative to AI.

🔵 ALP GenAI CoP Cohort 1, 2023-24
Advanced Learning Partnerships engaged a cohort of 18-20 school districts from across North America around the systemic integration of Generative AI and Large Language Models at scale. Together, beginning in the fall of 2023, our team of SMEs and ALP consultants worked alongside district leaders in service of two outcomes:
- Building Awareness and Competency on the Possibilities and Risks of Generative AI
- Planning for a Year of Learning and Beyond
