About Kylie

Kylie Hand is a passionate advocate for empowering individuals to achieve their full potential through rigorous, civically engaged, and personalized learning experiences, ensuring that organizations serve as launchpads for innovation.

Inspired by Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, her hometown transformed from a steel hub to a leader in technology, medicine, and robotics. Kylie believes creative solutions through design thinking principles can solve current challenges and unmet needs of the future. Her vision is for schools and organizations to serve as community catalysts for innovation.

As a classroom teacher, district administrator, and leader at a county-level educational service agency, Kylie has advanced this vision by developing future-focused plans, championing transformative learning, and leading diverse teams to solve challenges. She is dedicated to reshaping education systems so that every individual’s strengths, interests, and values are honored.

Now based in Philadelphia, Kylie continues to integrate her passion for community development and innovation through her tailored approach to consulting, empowering communities to co-design and implement learning experiences that not only uplift individuals but also contribute to broader societal development.

When not consulting, Kylie immerses herself in Philadelphia’s rich cultural scene, exploring its architecture and design, celebrating her neighborhood’s century-old history, and volunteering in local civic initiatives. She also frequently returns to Pittsburgh to reconnect with family and friends, drawing ongoing inspiration from the city’s spirit of resilience and innovation. Guided by Carnegie Mellon University’s mantra from Andrew Carnegie, “My heart is in the work,” she brings passion, creativity, and commitment to every community she serves.
