Second Annual Generative AI Summit – The Curious World of Generative AI

Thanks to all who joined ALP and StrategicEDU for the 2nd Annual GenAI Year of Learning Summit: The Curious World of Generative AI. The summit brought together a vibrant community of education leaders from multiple diverse districts and provided a dynamic and future-forward space to explore Generative AI within learner-centered education models.

Key Highlights

  • Collaborative Visioning: The summit opened with a shared vision to explore systems-level integration of GenAI. Attendees engaged in reflective conversations around district readiness, policy, and sustainable AI strategies.
  • Insightful Keynotes & Sessions: Dr. Jules White spoke about the next horizon of AI in Education, and Dr. Alec Couros shared valuable insights during an in-depth Q&A focused on AI and assessment innovation, and designing authentic, future-ready evaluation systems as well as thoughtful approaches to family and community engagement. Breakout sessions featured practitioners and pioneers, offering actionable strategies and frameworks for integrating AI into teaching and learning.
  • Spotlight on Sustainability: Leaders from Loudoun County and Henrico County Public Schools joined other K–12 innovators to discuss long-term strategies for scaling AI-enabled models. These conversations focused on capacity building, professional learning ecosystems, and equitable access to AI resources.
  • Networking and Collaboration: Through roundtable discussions, collaborative planning, and informal connections, the summit facilitated intentional relationship-building between district leaders, partners, and facilitators.
