Organizational Development Consultant

About Alex

Alex combines his experience in Industrial Organizational Psychology and Learning Sciences to develop data-driven solutions for educators.

Alex discovered his passion as an educator while teaching labs at the University of South Florida. While teaching, he often heard from students that they wanted to pursue post-baccalaureate education, but lacked the knowledge and mentorship to continue their education. To address this problem, he worked with the diversity committee in his department to develop an evidence-based mentorship program to create equitable opportunities for students to explore further education and build the skills they needed to succeed.

Alex specializes in mixed-methods research and has conducted multiple studies exploring how survey response motivation can be quantitatively modeled. He also developed machine learning pipelines to understand what factors cause consumers to engage with different products while interning at Chegg and Slack. Qualitatively, Alex has examined user needs for a variety of physical and digital products and has explored natural language processing techniques for dealing with large-scale qualitative data.

When he is not working, Alex enjoys hiking and camping in the Rockies. He is also an avid cook and enjoys trying out new recipes from around the world.
