About Katey

Katey supports educators’ integrated STEAM+ instruction for rich, equitable learning experiences.

Learning is solidified when disciplinary content is cemented in connected contexts, building strong neural networks and long-lasting content fluency. Katey believes that integrated instruction is engaging, empowering, and deeply equitable. Katey offers structures for developing integrated K-16 STEM and STEAM curricula to engage educator and learner interests, curiosities, and full funds of knowledge. Katey’s career has led her from artist to physicist to becoming a certified arts-integration specialist, expert professional development provider, and strategic partner to schools, districts, and industry.

Katey explores her creative sides through making sculpture, graphics, and fabric arts, cooking, reading, and enjoying the natural world.
