Marlo views public education as the cornerstone of society, believing it provides equal opportunities for all students to reach their full potential. She strongly advocates for personalized learning approaches that cater to each student’s unique needs. Marlo is dedicated to creating equitable educational environments, ensuring that resources and support are in place to empower every student to succeed, regardless of their background or circumstances.

Marlo is actively involved in several educational advisory boards and serves on the Board of Directors for the Consortium for School Networking (CoSN). She is a passionate advocate for diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, promoting these values through resource development and professional training. Additionally, she mentors many women in educational technology, supporting their leadership development.

Throughout her leadership journey, Marlo has learned the importance of organizational culture and how being authentic allows others to do the same, leading to exceptional outcomes for students and staff. She draws strength and purpose from the Marianne Williamson quote, “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.” Marlo continues to leverage her expertise to empower others and drive innovative educational technology initiatives.
