About Michael
Michael is an educational disruptor who continuously works to improve learning conditions for all families and students.
The current education model is designed to meet the academic and social needs for some – not all. Because of the noted access and opportunities gaps in education, Michael believes that every child deserves an authentic and personalized learning experience to eliminate disparities in this new paradigm of education. His passion for innovation, theory, and analytics has led to new organizational and school designs of the future. When Michael is not improving the landscape of education, he is usually reading, playing basketball, or enjoying time with his son.
A quote that resonates with his work and passion in education is from the West Indian Emancipation Speech given by Frederick Douglass on August 3, 1857. His quote was, “If there is no struggle, there is no progress.”
