About Yumna
Yumna is passionate about leveraging her expertise in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, data analytics, psychometrics, and research to support her data-driven decision making for educational improvement.
She applies her skills in change management, organizational development, and talent assessment to enhance learning outcomes. With a focus on equity, diversity and inclusiveness, Yumna is committed to using evidence based strategies to drive meaningful change in education.
Her passion for supporting public education stems from her experience as a psychology professor. Yumna is driven by the desire to help teachers and administrators use data and evidence-based strategies to enhance learning outcomes, and create more equitable opportunities across diverse backgrounds. In her previous roles, Yumna has worked on DEI initiatives within universities to implement inclusive policies, as well as contributing to occupational health and safety projects and burnout intervention studies.
When not working, you will find Yumna exploring the mountains and forests of British Columbia, either hiking or camping. A lover of adventure travel, she has her sights set on one day reaching the K2 base camp. Finding the Mother Tree by Suzanne Simard holds deep significance for Yumna, as its exploration of how trees support and nurture one another reflects her own belief in the power of collaboration and mutual growth, both in the natural world and in her work.
