ALP Response to COVID-19 Virus

Please reference the following for how we are aligning our support as we work to understand the accurate and evolving impact of the COVID-19 virus in our communities.

Dear colleague(s),

We are all working to understand the accurate and evolving impact of the COVID-19 virus in our communities. At the same time, we are passionately committed to availing all our students and staff to purposeful and focused learning experiences.

At ALP, our foremost priority is the well-being and vibrancy of your community and our team. Toward this end, we share an update on how we are aligning our support in service to your leadership.

We reach out to you today because one or more members of our team are scheduled to visit your community between this week and April 3. Concurrent to or in advance of their arrival, we offer the following choice:

  • If you feel that we can successfully accomplish our goals using video-based tools and virtual collaboration, please let our leadership team know by or preferably before this Friday, March 13. We will work with you and the assigned ALP coach(es) to ensure that this virtual experience advances our work without compromise.
  • If you currently prefer that our facilitation remain site-based, please let us know by or preferably before this Friday, March 13. If the assigned coach is comfortable traveling to facilitate this session, we recommend that you proceed as planned while continuing to monitor the local and national status of the COVID-19 virus.

This week, our team members are traveling as regularly scheduled to facilitate site-based consulting and coaching. We are exercising every reasonable precaution to protect against contracting and spreading COVID-19 based on guidelines outlined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. We are also carefully tracking its impact in specific communities using the Resources & Interactive Map maintained by Johns Hopkins University. Our response is informed by the most up-to-date information and will be subject to change based on future data.

Thank you so much for your ongoing trust, careful consideration, and response by or preferably before this Friday, March 13. We stand ready to co-design a creative approach that exemplifies how adaptive leadership and the purposeful application of technology converge.

The ALP Leadership Team
