Canadian K-12 AI Leadership Summit 2027: Leading for human flourishing in the age of AI

January 28-29, 2027 | Surrey, British Columbia

Student Summit: January 27

No registration fee

After a successful 2025 Summit that included representation from 6 provinces and 1 territory, over 50 districts and 170 attendees, we are excited for another opportunity to learn and connect.

AI is already changing how students learn, how educators work, and how school systems make decisions. Efficiency matters, but it is not an adequate measure of success. The more important question is whether these changes help people and communities thrive.

Over two days, participants will examine:

• How AI is affecting workload, professional judgement, relationships, and student well-being
• What districts can do now to capture benefits without overlooking emerging harms
• How student and Indigenous perspectives should shape system decisions
• What meaningful indicators of well-being and responsible AI use might look like
• How to move from scattered experimentation to a coherent district approach
