About Amos
Amos is insatiably curious. He strives to leverage his network, platform and passion in service to our profession and the communities that welcome ALP into their work.
A career educator who has served in Canada, South Korea, China and the United States, Amos is the Founder and President of Advanced Learning Partnerships. His passion for travel, diverse pedagogies and sustainable organizational change inform his perspective on education systems and their relationship to community and democratic citizenship.
Amos fulfills his leadership role through three key drivers. He seeks opportunity for authentic, long-standing partnerships with organizations committed to achieving learner-centered outcomes at scale. He reserves substantial time in his calendar to engage with these partners and ALP teammates around the honest, complex work required to actualize these partnerships. These experiences enable him to shape emerging trends, opportunities and policy considerations that maximize the success of current and future partnerships.
When he isn’t immersed in these pursuits, Amos can be found trail running in North Carolina forests. He has a fascination with diverse species of owls that should be avoided as a topic of conversation for those without hours of free time. He loves live music and roundly appreciates musical genres as eclectic as Ethiopian jazz, American bluegrass, Japanese and Thai punk to psychedelic country, Gordon Lightfoot and Lana Del Rey.
Above all these things, Amos is inspired by and in love with his wife and business partner, Katy, their children, Ansel and Evie, and unconditionally loyal retriever, Jasper
